Simon Buttars moved to Stawley in 1988 and after leaving the area for a period of study, culminating in a PhD from Warwick, he returned to Stawley, changed direction and went into the outdoor education business. More recently he spent 5 years living in Cumbria where he developed two derelict farmhouses on a remote smallholding in the Pennines. Simon is responsible for roads.
